Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated English Language Arts Tutor who can provide personalized instruction to elementary school students in English Language Arts, including Reading Fluency, Reading Comprehension, Phonics/Decoding, Vocabulary, Grammar, Penmanship, and Writing. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring to elementary school students in English Language Arts, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Conduct tutoring sessions in a professional and respectful manner, maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment
- Prepare and submit session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
- Effectively balance tutoring hours for each assigned student, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed
- Respond to existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours, ensuring that we can continue to provide support to our students
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the education field and industry, with a focus on English Language Arts
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching in specialized education fields, such as elementary education or English as a Second Language
- Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are highly valued, but not required
- Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administration skills
- The ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session, including developing lesson plans and materials
- A personality that is suited for working with different types of students, including those with diverse learning styles and abilities
- Strong typing, PC, and recording skills, as well as access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
- Reliable transportation with current car insurance is required, as you will be traveling to students' homes for tutoring sessions
