Job Description Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for Homeowners Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. This role works independently, prioritizing own responsibilities. • * We are seeking a skilled and experienced Property Desk Adjuster to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessing property damage across various perils and a solid understanding of insurance claims investigation and industry guidelines. Proficiency in Xactimate is highly preferred.** Key Responsibilities • For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome • Demonstrates intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department • Handles investigation regarding most aspects of homeowner first party claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority • Recognizes and identifies key components of residential construction and repair • Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills • Demonstrates a basic understanding of systems and technology used within the company • Learns how to determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle Experience • 2 or more years of experience (Preferred) Supervisory Responsibilities • This job does not have supervisory duties. Education & Experience (in lieu) • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. #LI-AS2 Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is $50,000.00 - $78,570.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors. including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay, (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
