Job Title: UX Research & Design Intern (Remote)
Status: Unpaid Internship | Part-Time (15–20 hrs/week)
Location: 100% Remote (U.S. Based)
The Mission
At Marketeq, we are a lean, agile startup dedicated to helping enterprise organizations navigate and optimize their technology stacks. We are looking for a curious, detail-oriented UX Research & Design Intern to help us bridge the gap between complex business requirements and intuitive digital experiences.
Your Impact
As a UX Intern, you will own the end-to-end design process for specific feature sets. Your day-to-day will involve:
• Discovery & Strategy: Distilling stakeholder requirements into actionable user journey maps and mental models.
• Architecture: Designing site maps and user flow diagrams that simplify complex enterprise navigation.
• Prototyping: Building low-to-high fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma.
• Collaboration: Participating in design reviews and "crit" sessions with the Senior Designer and fellow interns.
• User Advocacy: Analyzing user feedback and competitive landscapes to propose data-driven UI enhancements.
What You Bring to the Team
• Educational Background: Must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a workshop, bootcamp, online class, or bachelor’s degree program in user experience, graphic design, human computer interaction, or related field.
• The Toolbox: High proficiency in Figma (including components, auto-layout, and prototyping).
• Design Fluency: A strong grasp of typography, hierarchy, and accessibility standards.
• Analytical Mindset: The ability to look at a complex problem and break it down into a simple, logical user flow.
• Availability: Ability to commit 15–20 hours per week (flexible scheduling).
The "Why" (Your Growth)
While this is an unpaid position, we are committed to your professional development:
• Portfolio Gold: You will leave with real-world case studies involving enterprise-level complexity—something highly sought after by recruiters.
• Direct Mentorship: Regular 1-on-1 feedback from an experienced Senior Designer.
• Networking: Access to our network of IT consulting professionals and tech founders.
• Flexible Environment: Work from anywhere in the U.S. with a team that values output over "clock-in" times.
