Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients seeking medical assistance and support
- Build trust with patients and provide customized scripting to address their needs
- Accurately document patient information and needs prior to connecting them with a nurse
- Handle inbound calls with professionalism and courtesy
- Multi-task while speaking with patients, ensuring efficient and effective communication
- Escalate situations as necessary and defuse conversations with empathy and understanding
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
- 1+ years of customer service experience required
- Excellent organizational and computer skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Strong listening and comprehension skills to determine key patient information
- Professional, courteous telephone voice and demeanor
- Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
- Ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of healthcare experience
- Inbound call center experience
- Call Center, Medical Office/Clinic, front desk, or first point of contact experience in a customer service environment
- Bilingual skills, particularly Spanish speaking and documentation in English
- HIPAA experience

Remote Work Requirements
To ensure a seamless and secure remote work experience, we require:
- A reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum bandwidth speed of 23 megabits download and 10 megabits upload
- A hardwired internet connection from your modem or Ethernet jack to your work computer (WiFi is not acceptable)
- A reliable telephone line, either a land-line phone or a voice-over line provided by the same company as your internet
- A dedicated workstation with enough space for 2 (two) 27" computer monitors, a computer, keyboard, mouse, and dial pad/phone
- A HIPAA-compliant workspace that protects PHI and prevents disruptions during work hours
Physical and Environmental Demands
The Remote Patient Coordinator role requires:
- Job performed in a well-lit, modern office setting
- Occasional lifting (20 pounds or less)
- Visual and Auditory acuity
- Manual and finger dexterity
- Occasional stress
- Occasional pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, bending, and reaching
