Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and experienced teachers to join our robust educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive mathematics and have a thorough understanding of AMC 8 subjects, as this role involves specifically preparing students to succeed at the competition.
• *****Must be available every Monday& Friday from 10am-12 pm Eastern Time.
Duties
• Be an expert of all subjects covered in the AMC 8, 10, and 12.
• Adapt to students' unique learning styles and tailor your approach accordingly.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Provide individualized tutoring and support to students who may require additional assistance.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to ensure all students achieve their learning objectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote student success and well-being.
• Become fluent in our online learning platform.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related discipline strongly preferred, especially for those teaching the Master Class.
• Advanced coursework or certifications in competitive mathematics (e.g., AMC training, Olympiad coaching) are highly desirable.
Experience
• Competitive mathematics (3+ years)
• Teaching (5+ years)
• Virtual teaching experience preferred
• Working with students between grades 6-12 (2+ years)
Technological requirements:
• Webcam and microphone (wired headset preferred)
• Supported Operating Systems: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Mac OS
• Speed requirements: Upload - 500 kpbs, Download - 1300 kpbs
