They are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support operations at a software development hub with a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Streamline the software development life cycle from requirements to production monitoring
- Incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to improve workflow efficiency
- Implement continuous integration and delivery to reduce manual testing and troubleshooting
- Identify and build solutions to meet customer challenges
- Support Linux systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, software development, or system administration
- Administer container platforms such as Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or EKS
- Develop infrastructure as code and custom automation scripts using Ansible, Python, Bash, or Terraform
- Work with complex build systems
Skills
- US citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S
- Residency in the US for at least the past 3 consecutive years (36 months)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field OR 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- At least 1 year of experience supporting Linux systems engineering
- At least 1 year of experience administering container platforms (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, EKS)
- At least 1 year of experience with advanced scripting languages and automation tools (Ansible, Python, Bash, Terraform)
- Experience with complex build systems
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies or software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience developing back-end software applications
- Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS or Azure for automated DevSecOps pipelines
- Experience with Opensearch cluster configuration and index lifecycle management
- Knowledge of security scanning tools and vulnerability remediation
- Knowledge of Java
