This role is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The RN will provide high-quality post-anesthesia and perioperative care, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal recovery following surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery or procedures. Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and overall recovery progress, intervening as needed. Administer medications and IV fluids per physician orders. Educate patients and families on postoperative care and discharge instructions. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards. Qualifications: Current RN license in the state of Illinois (or eligibility for licensure). BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred). Previous experience in PACU, Same Day Surgery, or Critical Care strongly preferred.
