Job Responsibilities
As a Math Tutor at Mathnasium of Maple Valley, WA, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Teaching and Tutoring: Deliver high-quality instruction to students using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
- Collaborative Instruction: Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Assessing Progress: Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
- Digital Literacy: Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
- Maintaining a Safe Learning Environment: Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess the following qualifications and requirements:
- Passion for Math: A genuine passion for math and a desire to help students understand and master mathematical concepts.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and team members.
- Eagerness to Learn: A willingness to learn and be trained on our proprietary Mathnasium Method and teaching practices.
- Exceptional Math Competency: Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to balance various ongoing tasks and responsibilities.

- Math Literacy Test: Take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
- Work Authorization: Provide work authorization.
