About the position The Full-Time Administrative Assistant position at Affinity Psychological Services is a remote role focused on supporting a mental health practice. The assistant will handle various administrative tasks, including insurance verification and client communication, while contributing to a supportive environment for both clients and staff. Responsibilities Take full responsibility for new client chart set-ups in the EHR. , Accurately and efficiently verify insurance benefits and communicate them to clients. , Track and follow-up on incomplete client paperwork and documents. , Secure insurance pre-authorizations for all requested services. , Support clients and clinical staff throughout their time at Affinity. , Be a warm, approachable, and knowledgeable voice of the practice in all client communications. , Utilize digital and electronic software for all office tasks. , Look for and implement opportunities for improvement. , Communicate with administrative team members easily and openly about progress and questions. , Complete other tasks as needed. Requirements Experience in a healthcare setting is required. , Detail-oriented and independent work ethic. , Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. , Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Nice-to-haves Experience with document/spreadsheet creation. , Event planning skills. , Referral management experience.
