About the Role and Our Company
As a Support Engineer with Allegis Global Solutions (AGS), you'll be providing critical technical assistance to computer system users, primarily through Microsoft's external staffing partners. Although you'll be employed by AGS, you'll be working closely with Microsoft teams to resolve complex technical issues and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems, typically of a lower complexity, via phone, email, or remote access.
- Install software or perform hardware testing remotely to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors, maintaining detailed records of daily data communication transactions and remedial actions taken.
- Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or provide technical assistance and support.
- Utilize your expertise in Microsoft Teams administration to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration for our customers.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- An Associate's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training, demonstrating a solid foundation in computer systems and technologies.
- 5-7 years of experience in a technical support or administration role, preferably with a focus on Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, or related technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach to resolving technical issues.
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Basic knowledge of computer software, including configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software, and internet technologies.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
To stand out as a candidate, you'll ideally have:
- Proven work experience as a Microsoft Teams Administrator, Specialist, or similar role, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams features, functionalities, and best practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint integration with Teams, as well as Office 365 applications, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for Microsoft Teams automation and management, demonstrating your ability to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- A proficient understanding of Microsoft Teams' calling capabilities, including Calling Plans, Direct Routing, and Audio Conferencing, as well as VoIP protocols, SIP trunking, and PSTN connectivity.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving call quality and connectivity issues, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
