Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Post-Surgery Unit at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) in Medford, OR. As a Registered Nurse in our Post-Surgery Unit, you will have the opportunity to care for a wide variety of surgical patients, including General and Vascular surgery, ENT, GYN, and Urology surgeries. Our unit is a Comprehensive Center for Bariatric Surgery certified through The Metabolic and Bariatric Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), and we are committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population of post-surgical patients Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes Participate in education and performance improvement activities to stay up-to-date on best practices and provide quality service to our customers Mentor and support new staff members to help them develop their skills and confidence Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Experience: Six months of acute care experience preferred Licensure/Certifications: RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start; BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start Preferred Certifications: CMSRN: Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse; CBN: Certified Bariatric Nurse; CNN: Certified Nephrology Nurse; HNC: Holistic Nursing Certified; MSN RN-BC: Medical Surgical Nurse RN Board Certified Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and achieving optimal patient outcomes Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Asante, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
