Job Overview
In this critical role, you will lead the technical aspects of evaluating, troubleshooting, and implementing new products and packages, working closely with our market development team, bottlers, and other stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving productivity initiatives, identifying opportunities to lower supply chain costs, and influencing the implementation of practices to improve product affordability. As a Regional Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of supply of our current packages and brands, reviewing sales trends, and planning infrastructure availability to sustain business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical projects that require cross-system and cross-functional cooperation to deliver innovations in products, packaging, and promotions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to execute new technologies, processes, and innovative solutions, providing technical operations support for promotions and line extensions.
- Assure raw materials and package supply to support sales growth, ensuring supply continuity across the end-to-end supply chain.
- Drive productivity initiatives across the system, identifying opportunities to lower supply chain costs and influencing the implementation of practices to improve product affordability.
- Support package and product quality, co-leading efforts to minimize risk to the company and the brand, and ensuring compliance with technical policies in our bottler system.
- Review prototypes and define appropriate improvements to ensure brand fit, aligning with bottling partners on implementation and establishing necessary investments where needed.
- Coordinate and lead technical projects, working closely with customers, software development teams, hardware teams, and product owners to investigate and triage issues, identify defect patterns, and develop project plans that meet our transformation goals.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Food Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company, with a proven track record of leveraging technical knowledge to provide a competitive advantage.
- Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose resolutions, with a strong analytical and creative thinking approach.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently, raise issues, and take corrective action.
- Fluency in software QA metrics, operations, and statistics, with experience in project management and the ability to define and lead projects, directing and motivating project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, XLS, PPT).
