About the Opportunity
This is a 9+ months contract opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $65-$70. Our client is a leading finance industry player, and we're looking for a talented Java Fullstack Developer Professional to contribute to their success. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications and web services using Java EE, JSP, XML, AJAX, and other relevant technologies.
- Work on both backend and frontend development, ensuring seamless integration and a robust user experience.
- Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle, from analysis to deployment and post-production support.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain data layers using frameworks like Hibernate, JPA, and others.
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Sybase, and optimize database queries for performance.
- Implement code delivery pipelines using tools like Shell script, Maven, Gradle, ANSIBLE, and Jenkins.
- Use Agile methodologies like SAFE Agile, Kanban, or SCRUM to drive project delivery.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance, using tools like Cucumber, Selenium, and others.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend development, but also comfortable working with UI.
- 4-6 years of experience in designing and developing applications and web services using Java EE, JSP, XML, AJAX.
- At least 4 years of experience with Java/J2EE, J2EE patterns, Spring (Spring Core, Spring Rest, Spring Boot).
- Experience with XML, JAXB, and XML persistence using XQuery and XSLT.
- Integration experience using Web Services/REST and EJB, preferably on Oracle/WebLogic.
- Experience with presentation frameworks like Angular, React, or similar frameworks, and jQuery.
- At least 2 years of experience in database management, with advanced SQL knowledge, using databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Sybase.
Preferred Qualifications
To take your application to the next level, you'll ideally have:
- Experience with microservices architecture and Docker Containers Platforms using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- 2+ years of experience with SAFE Agile, Kanban, or SCRUM frameworks.
- Experience with testing tools like Cucumber, Selenium.
- Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Git, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, with the ability to produce high-quality design artifacts.
