About the Role: Pharmacy Technician – Remote Data Entry & Patient Care
As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will be at the forefront of our patient-centric pharmacy practice, interacting with customers, developing strong patient relationships, and utilizing cutting-edge technology to grow your career and achieve your goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Utilize pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform other pharmacy-related tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer experiences by engaging with patients, resolving issues, and answering inquiries.
- Develop strong relationships with valuable customers and model excellent customer service practices.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records.
- Assist with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, and storing prescription drugs.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of positive relationships with the local medical community.
Essential Qualifications:
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of store inventory management and control procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Previous work experience with Walgreens.
- Desirable math skills, including accuracy and attention to detail.
- PC certification or willingness to obtain certification through our training program.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures.
