We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Apple Products Writer to join our dynamic team on a remote, freelance basis. As a writer for How-To Geek, you'll have the opportunity to write feature articles for our website, covering a wide range of topics related to Apple products, including iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS devices, apps, software, and updates. Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, engaging feature articles for our website, covering a wide range of topics related to Apple products
- Stay up-to-date on the latest tech news, products, and updates, and incorporate this knowledge into your writing
- Pitch, claim, and be assigned topics, and meet assigned deadlines
- Input work into our in-house system and format images according to our guidelines
- Collaborate with our team to ensure that our content meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong background in writing and editing, as well as expert knowledge of all things iOS, including a variety of Apple products. You'll also need to be able to break down complex topics into simple, approachable language that our readers can understand.
Essential Qualifications
- Relevant experience in writing and editing, with a strong portfolio of published work
- Expert knowledge of iOS, including a variety of Apple products (such as Apple Watch, AppleTV, HomePod, Mac, etc.)
- Knowledge of other tech areas, such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity (a plus)
- Excellent English language writing skills, with the ability to break down complex topics into simple language
- Strong research skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date on the latest tech news, products, and updates
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing for online publications or websites
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing platforms
