About the Role: Customer Service Representative - Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team from the comfort of your home in Florida. As a critical member of our team, you will provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Your superb communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will ensure that our patients receive the care and support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone support to patients, answering their questions, and addressing concerns regarding their specialty medications.
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and reviving benefits.
- Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
- Ensure that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment, adhering to quality and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure seamless processing of specialty medications and excellent patient experiences.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone.
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
- One year of computer keyboarding experience with the skills and aptitude to efficiently use computer systems.
- A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
