Title: Director of Clinical Quality Location: United States Department: Clinical Job Description: Location: Remote Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer Department: Clinical Operations Position Summary The Director of Clinical Quality will design and implement systems to track clinical outcomes, drive continuous quality improvement (CQI), ensure regulatory compliance, and support scalable, high-integrity service delivery. This leader must be both strategic and hands-on, comfortable working in a dynamic, startup environment, and passionate about improving care for neurodivergent children. Key Responsibilities Design and lead a scalable Quality Management Program that supports high clinical standards, regulatory alignment, and operational consistency across sites. Build and oversee a system of clinical quality indicators, outcomes tracking, and dashboards to measure care effectiveness, caregiver satisfaction, and provider performance. Lead internal audits and quality reviews, including clinical documentation, service delivery fidelity, and incident management across multiple states. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, partnering with regional teams to identify performance gaps, support data-informed decisions, and guide remediation plans. Ensure compliance with payer, Medicaid, and state regulatory requirements, and prepare teams for audits or accreditation processes (e.g. NCQA). Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations, billing, intake, and growth to ensure families experience high-quality, timely, and effective care from intake through discharge. Develop and maintain clinical policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect evolving standards of care and support rapid yet compliant growth. Support training team in developing content aligned to quality goals, clinical fidelity, and documentation standards. Serve as a thought partner in model-of-care development, clinical innovation, and the integration of outcome data into strategic decisions. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in a healthcare, behavioral health, or clinical field (e.g., Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, SLP, OT, Nursing). 5–7+ years in a clinical quality, compliance, or operational role. Strong understanding of evidence-based care models and how to track quality within them. Experience designing and scaling quality systems across multiple sites, preferably in a fast-moving or startup environment. Knowledge of payer requirements, Medicaid regulations, clinical documentation standards, and audit-readiness practices. Strong data fluency and ability to translate outcomes into insights and action plans; experience with EMRs, dashboards, and audit tools. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to build trust across diverse teams and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment. Passion for high-quality, inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming care. Bonus Qualifications Licensure in a relevant clinical field (e.g., LCSW, SLP, OT, Psychologist, RN) Experience with national accreditation (e.g., NCQA) Interest in earning Lean/Six Sigma or CQI certification Background working with families of clients with developmental differences and/or experience developing programs for autistics.
