Job Summary
We're looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Specialist. As a full-time employee, you will work in a remote/hybrid environment, with the flexibility to work from home or our office in Waterloo, IA. You'll be part of a dynamic team, reporting to a Supervisor, Customer Experience, and will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service via inbound phone calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with customers and Sales team members daily to resolve queries, address concerns, and provide product information.
- Utilize computer software and multiple computer programs to manage customer interactions, resolve issues, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Resolve customer challenges by using all available resources, including account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management.
- Address pricing and invoicing discrepancies, apply credits, and implement return procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure seamless customer service and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience in a call center or similar environment.
- Ability to commute to our facility from your home and a secure workspace at home dedicated to job activity.
- Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously.
- Stable internet connection with upload speeds greater than 5 megabits per second, download speeds greater than 15 megabits per second, and ping less than 80 milliseconds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Certification in customer service or a related field.
