For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has
specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and
part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal
Agencies across the United States.
NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park
Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise,
facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array
of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the
Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is
temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is
an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate

Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through
a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Business Administration, budget and/or
accounting related areas OR AA Degree in Business Administration, Finance,
Accounting or related fields
Ability to perform multiple administrative tasks simultaneously, and work
efficiently under pressure to coordinate details, resolve problems, and meet
established deadlines. Ability to'analyze, monitor, and evaluate a variety'of
project fund sources. Ability to use project management and financial/contract
software to collect, analyze, calculate, and report project data. Experience
creating pivot tables and analyzing data in Excel.
Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS
Teams, MS Outlook
Database skills such as filemaker pro (but not required)
Duties:
This position is remote- directly works with Southeast Regional staff, Denver
Service Center, Parks and the WASO DS staff related to storm recovery. The SER
Storm Team is comprised of highly skilled, interdisciplinary teams that work in
collaboration with parks and contractors to develop and produce an array of
facility and non-facility projects in support of the mission of the National
Park Service. The enrollee will work directly with the Storm Recovery Program
Manager to assist with centerwide budgetary and finance responsibilities.
ACQUISITION: Prepares spend plan and allocation requests for all
appropriation years for disaster supplemental funding. Prepares and or processes
purchase requests using current NPS finance system. Reconciles/maintains
purchasing records. Processes invoices. Ensures all required elements of
purchase requests are included and seeks assistance of COR for clarification or
needed information. 35%
FINANCE: Assembles centerwide budget and financial data and ensures accurate
input of accounting records using an automated financial system. Tracks and
reconciles obligations, expenditures, and disbursements of funds for a variety
of accounts. Prepares status of funds and other needed reports from the finance
and budget systems. Records and tabulates known commitments not reflected in
accounting reports and computes adjustments in order to maintain daily balances
for specific accounts. Monitors budget estimates against expenditures and
routinely notifies supervisor of account balances. Resolves accounting errors;
advises supervisor of unusual or major discrepancies. Assists in end-of-year
data calls for center-wide labor forecasting and spending plans. Enters data on
tracking log of expense tracking/monitoring. 35%
ADMINISTRATION: Serves as liaison in coordinating travel expenditures and
training costs associated with appropriate appropriations year funding. Tracks
employee hours associated with appropriate year funding and prepares and
processes labor spend plans. 30%
