Job title: Behavioral Health Therapist-Brain Wellness Program- Full-Time- Days in Jacksonville, FL at UF Health Flagler Hospital Company: UF Health Flagler Hospital Job description : Job Description: Overview Job Description: Under the supervision of the Center Director, the Behavioral Health Counselor evaluates clients, provides behavioral health services for employees, and participates in behavioral health programs and presentations. Within the established guidelines set forth by the University of Florida Jacksonville Healthcare, Inc. and under the direction of the appropriate Administrator or Manager, ensure adherence to all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Provides exemplary customer service and ensures that a high level of customer service is provided by all office/department staff to our patients, who are also our employees. Responsibilities Job Requirement: Advocates for patient's unmet needs. Provides clinical intervention (counseling, support) as needed. Ensure coordination of community agency services and resources by serving as a liaison between the medical and community providers as appropriate to meet family needs. Provide individual, group, family or marriage therapy. Baker Act patients as needed. Collaborates with physicians, nursing, customer service and administrative staff. Confers with Supervisor on caseload responsibilities. Counsels with patient and family and may involve community resources. Promotes a patient- and family-centered care environment for ethical decision making. Advocates for patients to promote optimal care and outcomes. Promotes autonomous decision making by patients. Serves as a liaison between this program and other areas of service that interact with this program and patients. Collect and enter Research data, and review lab and procedure results. Ensure compliance of regulatory and organizational policies and procedures and recommends changes in the department policies and procedures as identified.
