Position: Japanese Bilingual Outside Sales - Asian Market Location: Remote - candidate must reside in NY or NJ Work Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Reports to: Sales Executive FLSA: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire Overview: A rapidly growing international company in the food and beverage sector is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to drive expansion in the Asian Market retail segment. In this role, you will manage accounts, develop business opportunities, promote products, and deliver measurable sales results. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of sales experience, preferably with exposure to the Asian Market. This position is focused on the NY and NJ area, with approximately 10% travel outside the state. Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering exceptional service are essential. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute sales and marketing initiatives that support annual sales and profitability goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and retail customers, sharing market insights and customer feedback. Manage and grow business with grocery stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and other Asian Market accounts. Identify opportunities for new product lines or line extensions in coordination with internal teams. Conduct in-person visits, telephone calls, and professional presentations to customers. Assist customers with attractive product displays, merchandising, and point-of-sale materials to maximize retail visibility and drive sales. Participate in distributor ride-alongs, trade shows, and special events to strengthen relationships, open new accounts, and promote products. Monitor customer satisfaction, promptly addressing inquiries or issues to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships. Identify and research potential customers to expand market presence. Support post-sales efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and uncover opportunities for additional sales. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience, ideally in the food and beverage sector. Japanese bilingual (conversational level) required; additional Asian languages (Chinese, Korean) a plus. Willingness to travel out of state to customer locations (10%-20%). Valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation. Strong customer orientation with a proactive and solution-focused approach. Self-motivated, able to work independently, and also thrive in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
