Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Clinic Nurse - Pre-Surgical Screening • **$2,000 Sign On Bonus - Must Meet Eligibility*** Shift Details: 36 hrs/wk Monday - Friday; Four 9 Hour Days 7am - 5pm Remote Position after Training Position Highlight: Join our dedicated Pre-Surgical Screening Clinic team, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients are fully prepared and safe for their upcoming surgeries. In this role, you’ll: • Complete thorough patient assessments, reviewing medical history, current health, and any risk factors that may impact anesthesia or surgery. • Provide clear education and guidance to patients and families on pre-operative instructions (fasting, medications, hygiene, etc.) while helping reduce anxiety about surgery. • Confirm readiness for surgery by ensuring patients follow all preparation protocols and are not starting or stopping critical medications. • Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and surgical readiness. • Maintain accurate documentation and support patients with both clinical expertise and compassionate care. This position offers 3–4 weeks of in-person training, after which you’ll transition to a remote role. Occasional onsite presence will be required for mandatory meetings, one-on-ones, and IT support. Job Description: Provide and coordinate delivery of clinical resources to assure safe, high quality patient care and ensure continuity of care. Perform duties in an environment of care where the needs of a patient are short term, non-acute, and non-life threatening. Required Qualifications: • Associate's in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required. • Demonstrated effective communication skills required. • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required. • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) required. • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) department dependent required. Preferred Qualifications: • Based on position, prior experience in patient nursing, specialty/primary care clinic and/or telephonics preferred. • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred. • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred. • Proficient with use of email applications preferred. • Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records preferred. • Specific to the Medical Call Center department; multi-state license preferred.
