Certified Nursing Assistant II - Patient Telemonitoring (36 hours, Permanent Nights) - Boston Medical Center - Boston, MA - work from home job Company: Boston Medical Center Job description: Patient Telemonitoring utilizes CNAs in remote video monitoring of our patients who need an extra set of eyes and redirection for their safety. We use a system called Avasure which allows us to watch up to 24 patients remotely. The most common types of patients we watch are fall risk, elopement, and patients who pull lines and tubes. The system allows for 2-way communication- we also have prompts in multiple languages and have a validated “STAT” alarm we use when a patient needs urgent assistance from floor staff. • *PRIOR TELESIT MONITORING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED Position: Certified Nursing Assistant II Location: Patient Telemonitoring Schedule: 36 hours/week, NIGHTS • schedule includes every other weekend POSITION SUMMARY: As a CNA in our Patient Telemonitoring Department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at BMC. Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice, our CNAs provide direct clinical and support services. Using our patient-centered care model and uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, you will participate in the delivery of care to our patients and their families. You will also work cooperatively with all healthcare team members to provide a variety of support services to meet patient, family, and staff needs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform a variety of appropriately delegated patient care interventions for patients and their families. Clinical services could include, but are not limited to: obtaining vital signs, bathing and feeding, dressing wounds, assisting with hygiene, cleaning rooms and linens, and emotional support. Perform a variety of environmental and inventory activities to ensure a safe, clean, and appropriately equipped environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
